Childhood Lost
When a child has to be blithe and gay
Letting his imagination grow night and day
We engage him in every chore
Instead of allowing his dreams to grow
While some bend and sweep
Others wash dirty dishes
Some take care of young ones
Others clean vehicles
Why load them with responsibility
At a time when they have to be carefree....
Isn't it our frailty?
To take advantage of their fragility.
