Just To Talk - Poem

Just To Talk 

I wanted to talk
But you said you were busy
I wanted to go for a walk
But you said you felt lazy
 
You bought me things, you gave me gifts
That I wanted not and it led to rifts
You went away
I waited day after day
 
You left messages for me
But I wanted to hear only one noise
Technology is fine
But can it make up for a personal voice??
 
Is it too much to ask for a companion to talk
In this mad race for money and fame
Aren't we missing small joys so many???
